Accounting Group Hears Talk on New Jersey Revised Uniform LLC Act
Attorney Dev Modi notes several changes to the Uniform LLC Act
A group of approximately 30 public accountants, members of the New Jersey Association of Public Accountants — from the Essex, Hudson and Union county chapters — recently gathered at Kean University to hear Devanshu Modi, attorney and member and co-founder of the NJ-based law firm, Lyon, Glassman, Leites & Modi (LGLM), speak on the New Jersey Revised Uniform LLC Act.
“It is all about the operating agreement,” says Modi. “It is important for members of an LLC to clearly articulate the rights and duties of members, as well as, how the LLC will be managed in an operating agreement.”
Modi’s practice areas include representing those who have sustained financial harm via negligent investment practices, business law, estate planning, and real estate.
